Нормально-нормально… Вальсируем)

There was a sudden knock on the door of izbyshka.

- Masha! It’s me, Ivan! - said the man’s voice. - Open the door so that I could come in seni! My valenki are all frozen up…

And there he came, the Russian mujik Ivan. In one hand he had a bottle of vodka, in the other - balalaika. Twas too cold to play the balalaika outdoors, anyway…

- Ivan! Our bear drank the last bottle of vodka!

- Prokljatui medved! - cried Ivan. - We can’t survive the Russian winter without vodka! What about our children?! How are we going to tell them that we’re oyt of vodka?!

Пляшем, значиццо…

Masha has always wondered how Ivan hadn’t crushed their izbushka so far - so strong was his knocking!

“Real mujik!”, thought she with tenderness, when on lonely cold nights she lay in their poor bed, waiting for her husband to come from hunt. He brought them food… but what now? how could they possibly survive without vodka that warmed him all the time he was out???

- Oh-oh, that was all my fault, Vanya! I should have watched better… But now, - she helped mujik with taking off his valenki and put them near pechka. Balalaika was steadied nearby, - there is only one warm thing here to make you forget about Russian winter…

She put a plate on the wooden table.

- BORSCH!

мы…действительно хотим это продолжать?
